Melody Pate is the chef, owner, and personality behind Those Nuts! Based in South Louisiana, she brings a love of good food, a sharp sense of humor, and a hands-on approach to her small business. Her specialty? Glazed pecans that make “just one more handful” a very unreliable promise.
For Melody, putting her name behind a product means caring about what goes into every bag. Those Nuts! uses Certified Louisiana ingredients, with a small team of four bringing the business to life. From the kitchen to the everyday demands of ownership, she puts heart and hard work into building a brand with plenty of flavor—and a little attitude.
She takes her pecans seriously. Herself? Only when absolutely necessary.

With more than 20 years of experience in fast-paced office environments, Stephanie Anderson brings organization, resourcefulness, and a sense of humor to Those Nuts! As Director of Office Operations, she helps keep the business side running smoothly—even when things get a little nuts.
Stephanie’s talents lean toward keyboards rather than cookware. Our resident computer whiz, she’s happiest making technology cooperate, bringing order to a busy day, and figuring out a better way to get things done. She brings a practical approach and a people-first attitude to the work that keeps a small business moving.
Stephanie lives in Livingston Parish with her husband and their beloved doggo. She happily leaves the cooking to the kitchen crew—because somebody has to keep this operation from becoming a handful of loose nuts.
