Those Nuts! Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Yield: 16 servings

- 3 Tbps. melted butter

- 4 Tbps. brown sugar

- 1 tsp. cinnamon

- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

- 2 Tpbs. AP flour

- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

- 1 stick room temperature butter

- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 2 eggs

- 1 tsp. vanilla

- 1 cup sour cream

- 1 tsp. salt

- 1/4 cup molasses

- 1 tsp. baking soda

- 1 3/4 cups AP flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease your baking pan. Combine the first six ingredients in a bowl and set aside. Using a mixer, combine the stick of butter and the sugar for two minutes, then add the eggs until fully combined. Add the vanilla, sour cream, salt, molasses, and baking soda and mix unitl fully combined. Add the flour in gradually unitl fully incorporated, being careful not to over mix. Pour half of the batter into your dish and put half of your strusel on top. Add the other half of your batter and top with the remainder of your strusel. Bake for 45-60 minutes. An icing topping made with powdered sugar and milk wouldn't hurt!
