Those Nuts! Pecan Pie

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup dark cane syrup
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 heaping cup pecans, chopped
- sea salt
- 1 frozen pie shell
Melt the butter and chop the pecans. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and put the pecans in the pie shell. Combine the sugars, salt and cane syrup. Mix in the melted butter until fully combined then add the eggs and vanilla. Pour the mixture over the pecans in the pie shell and wait for the pecans to float to the top. Finish with a sprinkling of sea salt. Bake for 50 minutes. Allow the pie to rest for at least a few hours or overnight for best results.
